TMML focuses on Biodiversity on World Environment Day

10 June 2022 was World Environment Day (WED) and this year's commemoration held by TotalEnergies Marketing Malawi Limited (TMML) focused on raising awareness on the human effects on biodiversity and ways of reducing that impact.

Under the theme "Biodiversity, All in Action", the event was also an opportunity for TMML to reiterate its commitments towards protecting Biodiversity which include: respecting voluntary exlusion zones; managing biodiversity in new projects; promoting biodiversity; and managing biodiversity at existing sites.

TMML staff interacted on company commitments to reduce impacts on biodiversity and the environment as well as volunteered in an environmental clean up exercise around their respective offices and depots as part of the company's Action! employee volunteering program.

TMML also planted  "one of the world's best CO2 absorbing plant"in some of its sites, the Spekboom (Portulacaria Afra) shrub that is found predominantly in South Africa.
